Company of the Year Award for Specialty Glass Products

HUddersfield-based structural glass manufacturer Specialist Glass Products won the 2020/21 Eaton Smith Company of the Year award.

Over the past 48 months, the family business has invested more than £ 6million to expand and equip its factory with the latest state-of-the-art machinery, currently enabling it to process, cut, harden, fold and laminate the glass. to 6000 mm x 3210 mm.

The continued investment in high-tech equipment and its premises has effectively quadrupled SGP’s production capacity, ensuring that they can meet the demands of larger projects, short lead times and produce glass profitably.

With tremendous growth and development over the past 12 months, the specialty glass maker was among eleven companies shortlisted for the Company of the Year award after being previously named Company of the Month.

The award in association with the Mid Yorkshire Chamber features top companies demonstrating innovation and outstanding contribution in Kirklees, Calderdale and Wakefield.
