Dr Anupriya Goel’s book How to Get Glass Skin offers remedies for all your skin problems

We all secretly yearn for flawless glassy skin. For those not naturally blessed with glowing skin, here’s some help. Renowned cosmetic dermatologist, Dr. Anupriya Goel has just released an all you need to know book titled How to get glass skin. Edited by Penguin India, this book offers solutions to all your skin problems. Excerpts from an interview with the author:

Tell us a bit about your book?

A trip to South Korea, the mecca of skincare, had a huge impact on me. For Koreans, skincare is like a religion. Glass skin is extremely popular there and I was amazed at how the majority of them had healthy and glowing skin. It got me thinking, what do Koreans do differently? Was it their genes? Were they drinking an ancient magic potion? Was it their diet, rich in fish and seaweed? This book is the result of my research on the same subject.

How specific is your book to skincare?

Getting into the habit of taking care of the skin can seem difficult, but after reading this book, you will discover the easiest, most effective and most practical ways to do it. The book also lists products and home remedies suitable for your skin type. Just follow the steps diligently and consistently.

Is there really an easy way to get glowing skin?

Hydration and consistency are at the heart of Korean Glass Skin. A smart, consistent skincare regimen focused on hydration makes all the difference for any skin. Instead of using some expensive products sporadically, you should focus on using smart products consistently

An effective solution to the comedo acne problem?

Avoid clogging of pores by excess oil, dirt and grime. Use a twice-daily cleanser with non-comedogenic moisturizers, actives like AHA, BHA, and retinoids. The extraction of comedones under the supervision of an expert is very effective.

How often should you opt for Botox and dermal filler treatments?

If there’s one treatment that erases all signs of aging and wrinkles in a jiffy, it’s Botox and fillers. Botox is a very popular treatment abroad; however, I have come across many Indians who are still wary of this wonderful treatment. Botox is a purified protein solution that only temporarily relaxes the muscles and prevents the formation of wrinkles. Botox can be repeated every six months and dermal fillers can be done every 18-24 months.
