Tap and Shine by Medik8, £ 25
This is one of my new favorite exfoliators to hit the scene this year. PHAs – or polyhydric acids – are great for all skin types, especially if you typically experience redness from AHAs or stronger liquid exfoliators. Just pump some of the solution onto a cotton ball and wipe over freshly cleansed skin every morning or evening. It is both exfoliating and hydrating, so you won’t suffer from any dryness. I also like that it comes in an eco-friendly refill pack.
Wishful Yo Glow Enzyme Scrub, £ 18
I was very impressed with the skincare range of Huda Kattan, an extraordinary beauty influencer. The Wishful range is not fancy; it consists of products like cleansers and facial oils with beautiful formulas at affordable prices. One of my favorite products from the brand is this enzyme scrub, which has a grainy texture to help remove dead skin cells without the feeling of itching. It is gentle to use a few times a week.
Skin Rise Morning Glow by Exuviance, £ 36
These daily PHA pads are so easy to use. They come pre-saturated with exfoliating liquid, so you just need to wipe them off on clean skin and crack yourself up with the rest of your skincare. They really help soften and lighten the skin in a matter of weeks; one jar will last you about a month and a half if used 4 or 5 times a week. One of our favorite facialists, Katharine Mackenzie Paterson, uses Exuviance products in her facials, so we know those are good things.
Doctor’s Scrub by Goldfaden MD, £ 65
It is one of my all time favorite facial scrubs and it is also very popular with users. Developed by American dermatologist Dr Goldfaden, this creamy formula contains ultra-fine ruby particles to gently exfoliate the skin while allowing a satisfying exfoliation. It leaves the skin soft, smooth and luminous, if used a few times a week. The brand also recently launched a body scrub version which is as good as I expected.
