In the wake of the release of her debut EP, pop up-and-comer Morgan Saint releases “Glass House” – a new song from the project, featuring her soft vocals and thrilling synths – and accompanying visuals. . The release comes just two months after Saint created his first music video for “You”.
“‘Glass House‘ sums up all the stories told in 17 Heroes, and gives the other songs on the EP a solid foundation, âSaint told BAZAAR.com. “It examines the relationships and experiences of my childhood and how they affected my current relationships, highlighting the undeniable parallel that exists between the two.”
While the visuals adopt a minimalist aesthetic, there is a bigger message in the video than it looks, Saint reveals.
âThe purpose of this video was to reflect on my past and set fire to all the parts of myself that I no longer want to hold onto,â she explained. âThe red flag represents my life up to this point. The viewer watches as I put the flag down to rest – a kind of burial, and when I set everything on fire that I have ever known – a moment where my inherent desire to want to hang on to everything quickly crumbles before my eyes. By the last scene of the video, I voluntarily succumb to my demons with the intention of a resurrection. I have to say goodbye to the old me in order to give birth to a stronger, healthier, lighter version of myself. “
