A few months ago you may have started to see some serum all over. Buzzly named for “Glass Skin”, the ideal K-beauty complexion, it was developed by Alicia Yoon, esthetician, K-beauty expert and founder of Peach & Lily. Every beauty editor, it seemed, was singing her praises. And then – because of all that hype and the relatively accessible price of $39, no doubt – it sold out entirely, without a bottle being found for sale. But it’s officially back! And I’m here to sing his praises again.

This small bottle contains a parcel of skin-saving ingredients: There is a hyaluronic acid complex, which means it contains both long and short chain molecules to penetrate the moisturizer into the deeper layers of the skin and plump it all up. smoothing things on the surface. A blend of peptides stimulates the production of collagen, which fights fine lines and makes the skin more resilient. It’s also fortified with niacinamide, a multi-tasking ingredient that I love for its pore-shrinking, wrinkle-reducing, redness-soothing, and brightening properties.

Beyond these effective – albeit fairly standard – ingredients, the serum also includes some less common ingredients, like peach extract, which the brand says is “packed with vitamins, minerals and fatty acids. essentials known to help keep skin firm, radiant and resilient” and East Asian Mountain Yam Extract, said to “reduce flaking and create more supple skin”. There’s also madecassoide, which is derived from centella asiatica or “cica,” a popular ingredient for soothing skin inflammation.

What’s really impressive is that Peach & Lily brings all of these different elements together in one formula that’s incredibly enjoyable to use. The serum is completely clear and viscous enough to spread easily on the skin without running through your fingers first. It absorbs in seconds with no greasy residue, making it perfect for layering under other skin and makeup products.

I’ve been using it for a few months – after cleansing but before applying my vitamin C serum and sunscreen (in the morning) and after using my chemical exfoliator but before my retinol and heavier moisturizer (in the evening ). I’ve officially made it a permanent part of my routine, so hopefully it never goes out of stock again.
